Lilly Scholarship is specially available to all those who are diagnosed with bipolar, schizophrenia, schizophreniform or schizoaffective disorder, currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow-up, are actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment, and are 18 years of age or older. Awards are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility
In order to be considered on the Lilly Scholarship applicants should be diagnosed with bipolar, schizophrenia, schizophreniform or schizoaffective disorder, currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow-up, are actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment, and are 18 years of age or older. Awards are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Application Procedure
The Lilly Scholarship required documents beside grant scholarship application as follow: essay, transcripts (if applicable), recommendation forms from three references and school financial requirements. Applicants will be judged based off of:

References from three individuals, including the applicant’s psychiatrist or prescribing authority (references from family members are ineligible), Quality of essay, Thoughtfulness and appropriateness of academic and vocational/career goals, Rehabilitation involvement, Success in dealing with the disease, Recent volunteer and/or vocational experience, Completion of application requirements including signing the Personal Consent & Release Form

Description
Research Scholarship of Visiting Research Scholar is currently offered by the International Research Center to study Japanese Studies. This is one of the constituent institutions of the National Institutes for the Humanities, which was established as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation under a law effective April 2004. Founded in May 1987 as an inter-university research institute of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, this scholarship research purposed to promote comprehensive, international, and interdisciplinary research on Japanese culture, and to foster cooperation among researchers in Japanese studies worldwide.

Benefit
The Visiting Research Scholar’s salary will be determined on the basis of salary regulations and will reflect the Visiting Research Scholar’s seniority. It will be paid on the appointed day each month.

• Roundtrip travel expenses will be paid according to a rate stipulated in the regulations.
• A research allowance (including a domestic research travel expense allowance) will be disbursed to each Visiting Research Scholar.
• The Center’s library, computers, and other facilities, including an individual research room, will be made available for the use of the Visiting Research Scholar, in the same way as for a regular full-time employee of the Center.
• Visiting Research Scholars have opportunities for presentation of research findings in seminars, public lectures, and the Nichibunken Forum held by the Center.
• Housing accommodations will be available on the site of the Center. (There are charges for the use of these facilities.)

Eligibility

• Researchers of any nationality not more than 65 years old when the research period begins, who live outside Japan, are eligible to apply. Others whom the Director-General of this Center deems to have equivalent qualifications as a researcher may apply, provided that they meet the age criteria. Applicants who meet the following criteria are preferred.
• Researchers employed by a university or other research institution.
• Researchers with a doctoral degree.
• Those whom the Director-General deems to have equivalent qualifications as above (1) and (2).

2. BE MILD. A kind reply is what the bully least expects,and it

3.PROTECT YOURSELF. If a situation seems out of control,you may need
to find an escape route.So if violence appears imminent,walk or run
away.If escape is impossible,you may need to ward off violence the best way you can.

The bottom line?
A Bully can't win if you refuse to play his game. So don't get sucked into the flames of his anger. Instead, take control of the situation by employing the above suggestions.
