The Chevron MSc Subsea Engineering ScholarshipThe Taught Postgraduate scholarship is sponsored by Chevron Corporation to fund full-time MSc in Subsea Engineering in September 2013. The scholarship recipients will be awarded £14,515 for the one year duration of the MSc in the field of Subsea Engineering degree course.

Description

The scholarship is open to all students wishing to commence the full-time MSc in Subsea Engineering in September 2013. The scholarship is valued at £14,515 for the one year duration of the MSc in Subsea Engineering degree course. This will cover postgraduate tuition fees, with the remainder providing a maintenance stipend.

Eligibility
All applicants should be have applied to the University of Aberdeen for a place on the MSc in Subsea Engineering degree course starting in September 2013. To be awarded the scholarship you must receive and then firmly accept an unconditional offer of a place on the MSc in Subsea Engineering at the University of Aberdeen.

All students meeting the criteria above, regardless of nationality or fee status, are eligible to apply for the Chevron MSc Subsea Engineering Scholarship.

2013 Tuition Free Universities in Finland for International Students

Do you want to study abroad on tuition free universities in Finland?

University higher education in Finland is funded by the State through the Ministry of Education, and therefore students enrolled in regular degree studies pay no tuition fees.

Bachelor’s and Doctoral level programmes -as well as many Master’s level programmes- do not charge any tuition fees, regardless of your nationality. This also applies to the international degree students and to exchange and visiting students as well. However, some Master’s programmes may charge tuition fees from non-EU/EEA students.

The student union charges a membership fee of about 53 euros/term. Membership is compulsory for those studying for their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees; those pursuing their doctoral studies may join the student union if they wish.

One important aspect of study in Finland is considering how to finance your study or research period. You will need to be able to cover your everyday living expenses, travel, insurance, etc. Financing one’s stay and studies in Finland by working is not possible.

Polish Cultural Foundation Scholarships (NJ) For New Jersey Residents, USA

Polish Cultural Foundation ScholarshipsPolish Cultural Foundation currently offers a number of scholarship award for college of university students resides in New Jersey, US

Description
Scholarships for the fall semester of 2013 through endowments from The Lubomir and Irene Zabilski Scholarship Fund, The Joseph S. Rozanski Scholarship Fund, and The Irena-Mieczyslaw Niznik-Halocha Scholarship Fund are now available.

The successful applicants will be notified of scholarship awards by June 1, 2013.  An awards ceremony will be conducted shortly thereafter at the Foundation.

Eligibility
Applicants must be of Polish descent, New Jersey residents, U. S. citizens or permanent residents. They must have completed their freshman year at an accredited college or university and have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

2013 NWAG Scholarships for 37 Nigerian Women – Undergraduate

 Each year the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia -NWAG- offers undergraduate Scholarships for 37 Nigerian female students in Nigerian universities on any course of study.
In 2013 NWAG plans to award 37 one-time scholarships, one per state of origin as well as one for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in the amount of fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) each, to Nigerian female, undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.

  • An applicant must be a Nigerian female, undergraduate student in a Nigerian University. All applications must include the following:
  • Proof of State of Origin – Letter of Origination from the university or a letter from your local government office.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation from any two of the following: Church Pastor/Mosque Imam, Village Head, Local Government Chairperson or one of your Lecturers.
  • One Letter of Recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty/School or your Head of Department.
  • Photocopy of your current university student identification card
  • A current photograph of yourself
  • An explanation of why you need and should receive the scholarship (not more than one-half typed double spaced page).
  • A type-written, double –spaced, two-page essay on:
  • “How could we improve the health system in Nigeria especially for women, youth and children?”

The faculty of graduate studies and research of University of Alberta in Canada annually offers Master's Scholarship valued at over $22,000. This scholarship is not renewable.

Description

University of Alberta Master's Scholarship is aimed to recruit superior students at the master's level who have the potential to become excellent doctoral students. The award is valued at over $22,000 (a stipend of $17,000, plus full-time program and non-instructional fees, and any applicable International Graduate Differential Fee). This scholarship is not renewable.

Eligibility
The scholarship program is targeted for superior Canadian citizens, permanent residents or foreign students who are being newly admitted into a thesis-based master's program in the Fall or Winter Term of the competition year. Students who have completed any work in a master's program are not eligible.

Application Procedure
There is no application form; eligible students are nominated by the admitting department. The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research makes the final decision. Contact the department for additional information.
