Undergrad: Financial aid from Knox College, USA

International students must be able to demonstrate their family's ability to afford a Knox education. However, Knox does offer a limited scholarship program for international students who demonstrate financial need and strong academic abilities. The maximum award is approximately one-half of the comprehensive fee. To be considered for these awards, you must submit a Financial Aid Application for International Students and a Certification of Finances Form with your application for admission. The ability to afford a Knox education may be a factor in determining the admission of international students who are academically qualified but do not meet financial qualifications.

When making plans to attend Knox, your family should expect the comprehensive fee to increase by five to seven percent each year and prepare as well for potential fluctuations in currency exchange rates. For more information, see Financial Information for International Students (PDF).

Undergrad: Financial aid from Bryn Mawr College (Women's College), USA

Each year Bryn Mawr awards grant aid, based on financial need, to outstanding international applicants (those who do not hold a U.S. passport, or are not permanent residents of the U.S.). The amount awarded varies according to the financial need of the applicant and full demonstrated need may be met. Competition for these awards is exceptionally keen.

Financial Aid for International Students

Financial assistance for international applicants is limited. International student scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit to support students demonstrating exceptional academic and personal achievements. Scholarships are renewable annually.

Financial aid for international students is only awarded at the time of admission, and an international student's expected family contribution remains constant over the student's undergraduate years at the College.

The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE is required for international students who wish to be considered for financial aid. If paying the fee associated with the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE creates a significant burden for your family, please contact the Office of Financial Aid prior to the appropriate deadline to apply for a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE fee waiver.

Undergrad: Financial aid from Gettysburg College, USA

Gettysburg College embraces diversity and has a strong commitment to our international students. We strive to meet the demonstrated financial need for all admitted international students; however, the financial aid process is highly competitive and funds are limited.

International students who are applying for financial aid should submit the International Student Financial Aid Application and the Certification of Finances Form for the 2010-11 academic year.

Gettysburg College awards financial aid based on financial need. Once need is determined, academic achievement, scholastic aptitude, and promise of contribution as a student and citizen are factors used to determine financial aid awards.

International students have the potential to receive a grant amount equal to full tuition but that is not ordinarily the case. Awards of loan and employment are usually part of a financial aid package. There is also an expectation that families will contribute to the student's educational costs.

Applicants will receive a financial aid decision with their admissions acceptance letter if the financial aid paperwork is on file at the College. Otherwise the financial aid decision will be made as soon as possible after the materials are received by the College.

Financial aid decisions for continuing students will be mailed after June 1.
