The TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship is now offers for students whose “volunteer efforts made a difference in their communities”. TruFit Good Citizen Scholarships will award 40 scholarship, 1 worth $5,000, 4 worth $2,500, 35 worth $1,000.

Description
Good citizens deserve help with college. That’s why we launched the TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship in 2011 to award college scholarships to students whose volunteer efforts made a difference in their communities. In 2012, we continued the college scholarship contest, awarding 40 scholarships totaling $50,000 to high school seniors and current college students across the country who are attending or have been accepted to a federally accredited four-year college, university or graduate program and who have been active in community service.

Benefits:
There will be $50,000 in scholarships in total will be granted.

Eligility
you must  be 16 years of age or older as of date of application. You must also be a high school or college student and be enrolled at or accepted to a federally accredited four year college, university or graduate program for the fall 2013 semester.

Application Procedure
To apply the TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship you are required to submit a 250-word or less essay or a 60-seconds or less video between April 1-19, 2013. Entries should demonstrate how you provide leadership in your community and include the number of hours that you commit to the organization. You’ll also need to submit the names of two references with your application.

Felix Scholarship at the University of Oxford, the University of Reading and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), UK

The Felix Scholarship was founded to offer gifted underprivileged students from India and certain other developing countries the opportunity of furthering their postgraduate education by attending a university in the UK.

Description
The primary objective of the Felix Scholarship is to stimulate the Felix scholars by exposing them to academic study, cultures, experiences and friendships that they would not otherwise have had the chance to sample.  It is hoped that this in turn will endow them with skills and visions, enabling them, when returning to their country of origin, to contribute to the culture and welfare of their home communities.

Felix scholarships are offered at three universities - the University of Oxford, the University of Reading and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London.  The Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit and financial need.

Eligibility
The Felix Scholarship is officially offered for candidates who meet the criteria below:

• Academically gifted and underprivileged nationals of India, under 30 years of age, who must hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian university or a comparable institution; or
• Academically gifted and underprivileged individuals who are not nationals of India or an EEA country, under 30 years of age, who must hold at least a first class Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or a comparable institution and who are recommended by their chosen university.

PhD scholarships for researchers with International Course Program - ICP degree, Belgium

The VLIR-UOS yearly offers approximately 10 scholarships to people who wish to carry out research on a development topic, in a so-called sandwich programme.

Description
The research and doctoral program are geographically spread over two locations, namely the academic home institution and a Flemish university. In this way both local and Flemish expertise are combined to offer you and both research groups a win-win effect. The Selection Committee Research Scholarships assesses and ranks all proposals according to quality and relevance for the South.

Eligibility

• You should be a national and resident of a developing country of the VLIR-UOS-country list that was applicable in the year you started your ICP studies or be on the country list used for the scholarships.
• The call is open for people who graduated not earlier than 2008, or will graduate in 2013, from a Flemish, VLIR-UOS funded Master programme (ICP).

it is correct.

nothing then you are prime targets for online thieves. The bait may
include big money for minimal work, a loan or credit card even though
you may have a poor credit rating, or large returns on ''low-risk''

Master Scholarship of Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) Funded by Japanese Government, Japan

The international scholarship of Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) is targeted for master students in the field of Public Administration/ Public Policy from October 2013 at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan. The successful candidates will be granted tuition fees provide monthly allowance up to 242,000 yen, travel allowance and accommodations.
Description
The Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) aims to cultivate national leaders of the future in Asia and around the world. In addition, while enhancing the participants’ understanding about Japan, it should help form a network among national leaders, contributing to the establishment of friendly relations and improved policy planning activities between worldwide, including Japan. MEXT will offer scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at GRIPS as YLP students in public administration/public policy for the academic year 2013 under the MEXT Scholarship Program.

Benefits:

• Allowance: 242,000 yen per month (inFY2012; amount is subject to change) will be provided to grantees during the term of the scholarship. Grantees who are absent from the university for long periods, will no longer be provided with the scholarship.
• Travel Allowance: (1)Transportation to Japan: Grantees will be provided, in accordance with their itinerary and route as designated by MEXT, with an economy class air ticket from the international airport closest to their place of residence to Narita International Airport (or following the itinerary normally used by the university where grantees are placed). Expenses such as inland transportation from place of residence to the nearest international airport; airport taxes; airport usage charges; special taxes on overseas travel; and travel expenses within  Japan will be borne by the grantee (in principle, the grantee’s place of residence shall be the address stated in the application form).(2) Transportation from Japan: Grantees who return to their home country within the fixed period following the expiration of the scholarship will be provided, upon application, with an economy class air ticket from Narita International Airport to the international airport nearest to their home address. Expenses such as inland transportation from their home address to the international airport, airport taxes, and special travel taxes will NOT be provided (in principle, the address in the grantee’s home country as stated in the application is considered the home address). Grantees must arrange any aviation and/or accident insurance to and from Japan on their own. The airport that the grantee departs from, or returns to, must be an airport tins their home country.
• Tuition Fees: Fees for matriculation, tuition, and university entrance examinations will be paid by the Japanese government
• Accommodations:-In principle, grantees may reside at accommodations provided by GRIPS.-Private Boarding Houses or Apartment Houses:Those who cannot accommodate in the facilities described above will be arranged at private boarding housesor apartments recommended by the GRIPS Student Office.

Eligibility

• Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of countries eligible for the YLP (School of Government).
• Age: Applicants must be,in principle,under 40 years of age, as at 1 October,2013(i.e. born on or after 2 October 1973).
• Academic Background: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized/accredited university or college, and have achieved shown excellent academic performance.
• Work Experience: At least 3years of work experience in public administration (preferably5yearsor more).
• English Proficiency: A minimum TOEFL-iBT score of 79 (TOEFL-CBT score of 213, TOEFL-PBT score of 550), IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
• Health: Applicants must be in good health. Visa Requirement: Selected Applicants must obtain a “College Student” visa prior to their arrival in Japan. Applicants who are already in Japan under a different visa category are required to change it to “College Student” by the end of the month preceding the start of the scholarship. Applicants who change their resident status to anything other than “College Student” following their arrival in Japan will immediately lose their status as a Japanese government scholarship student.
• Applicants who meet any or all of the conditions below are not eligible. If identified as such after commencement of the scholarship period, applicants will be required to with draw from the scholarship.
• Active members of military forces, or civilians employed by military forces at the time that the scholarship period is scheduled to commence.
• Unable to travel to Japan with in dates set by their ceiving university.
• Already enrolled in a Japanese university under “College Student” status, or plans to enroll at a Japanese university as a privately-financed international student, between the time of application for the GRIPS scholarship and the time the scholarship period is due to commence.
• Those who will lose their status as public administrators or government officials following the time of application or before completion of the program.

Application Procedure

• All documents should use A4 paper and should be typed. If documents are handwritten, please print clearly.
• These documents should be written in English. Each document must be submitted with a certified English translation if the original is not written in English. We must emphasize that applications are considered incomplete until all documents, including recommendation letters and diplomas, are submitted in English or come with English translations.
• Recommendation letters should be written separately in the designated format by an immediate superior at your workplace or an academic advisor from your university. At least one and preferably two should be written by immediate superiors at the workplace.
• Submit English test proficiency scores from the TOEFL or IELTS from within the last two years. If you submit the results of a different test of English proficiency, please submit a conversion of the score to TOEFL or IELTS.
• If you have a publication or dissertation, submit the overview separately.
• Your application may not be accepted if any of the documents are incomplete, inaccurate, or missing.

Conflict with another person is an uncomfortable experience for most people. It is often based on the assumption that only one way is the right one and must prevail. The reality is, that though each position seems to be the 'right one' for that individual, a compromise or a uniquely different option may turn out to be the best solution for both. Learning to deal with conflicts effectively is a key at work, at home and in all relationships. Most conflicts occur at home or at work. Some end up feuding with neighbors, relatives or even strangers, but most frequently our work place and homes provide the greatest opportunities for diverging needs. There is a great difference between a conflict with a spouse as compared to one with a supervisor or supervisee. Usually at home, mates regard each other as equals and can use their loving feelings to propel themselves toward a quick resolution. At the same time, the intensity of emotions between mates and the importance of their love may also delay easy compromise. At work the conflict is often not between equals, but between people who have authority difference. Since everyone at work attempts to safeguard his or her job security, vehemently arguing with the boss may be politically unwise.

The International Research Fellowships is offers by Latvian Government for students from countries which have signed an Agreement conducting research at Latvian Higher Education Institutions. The selected candidates will receive LVL 20 per day and max. LVL 120 for accommodation per month for a time period of up to 1 term (5 months).

Description
In accordance with bilateral agreements on co-operation in education and science, the State Education Development Agency (Valsts izgltbas attstbas aentra – VIAA) offers scholarships to students, researchers and teaching staff of several countries for studies, research and participation in summer schools in Latvian higher education institutions (HEIs) in the 2013/2014 academic year.

Benefits: The amount of the Latvian fellowship is LVL 20 per day and max. LVL 120 for accommodation per month.

Eligibility

• Only academic staff of foreign HEIs is eligible candidates for the Latvian fellowship.
• Only citizens from countries which have signed an Agreement or offer scholarships for Latvian students can apply for the Latvian government scholarships.

Application Procedure
The candidate must provide the documents below:

• Curriculum Vitae and list of scientific publications (applicants are asked to use the Europass CV form);
• Research plan for research work in Latvia (approx. 3 pages) and motivation letter;
