LSE is pleased to announce that two scholarships are available from The Kadas Family Charitable Foundation for the 2013/14 session.

The scholarships are for £15,000 per year, renewable for a further two years, subject to academic progression.

Eligibility
All candidates must be a national of and domicilied in one of the following countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Masaryk University scholarships For Students from Developing Countries, Czech

Masaryk University scholarships in support of talented students coming from developing countries and from countries undergoing the process of social and economic transformation (so-called third countries outside the OECD countries)

Description
The object of the scholarships is to support talented international students coming from so-called third countries (outside OECD countries) enrolled in the Czech degree programmes taught at MU. Scholarships are open for the period starting 1st January 2012 to 31st December 2012. Applicants apply twice a year, separately for each semester (for the period from January to June and from September to December).

Benefits: The scholarships have a value of 6000,- CZK per month, and are awarded for the period up to 10 months (the scholarships are not offered during the summer holidays – July, August).

Eligibility

• Scholarships are awarded to the applicants that are registered to study at the University in Czech degree programmes, within the standard length of study and coming from any country outside OECD. All applications are considered by individual faculties on their own merit according the following criteria: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes – level of academic achievement ( in exceptional and justified cases also other recommendations) and Doctoral degree programme – study activity supported by the Supervisor’s statement (e.g. publications, attendance of international conferences, University presentation, participation in organising the University events etc. The Supervisors’ statements are part of the application and must be submitted at the same time.
• Applicants must submit the document called “Request for scholarship for international students in Czech degree programmes” and in accordance with the Scholarship and Bursary Regulation of MU must indicate the number of their Czech bank account held in Czech Crowns in the information system.

Government Scholarship in Czech Republic for Developing Countries' Students

Description
The Government scholarship is offered by the Czech Republic government. The government scholarship is offered within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.

Please note that this government scholarship is targeted for students from the following developing countries: Argentina, Republic of Korea, Austria – Aktion,Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,Belgium–Flemish Community,Latvia, Belgium –French Community, Lithuania (only academic staff members), Bulgaria,Luxembourg,Egypt,Macedonia/FYRO,Mestonia,Malta,Finland,Mexico,France,Mongolia,Germany,(DAAD, Bavaria), Peru, Greece, Portugal,Hungary, Slovakia, India, Slovenia, Israel, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Ukraine (only academic staff members), Jordan,Vietnam) can apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility
In order to be considered in this government scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• In Bachelor/Master/Doctoral study programmes plus one-year preparatory course of the Czech language (which is combined with other field-specific training). Government scholarships of this category are awarded to graduates from upper secondary schools, or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree courses, as applicable, who can enrol only in study programmes in which instruction is given in the Czech language. Depending on the subject area, applicants are normally required to sit entrance examinations at the higher education institution concerned. Successful passing of entrance examinations constitutes a precondition for the scholarship award;
• In follow-up Master study programmes or Doctoral study programmes. Government scholarships of this category are awarded to graduates of Bachelor or Master study programmes, respectively, who enrol in study programmes with instruction in the English language.
