Undergraduate Music Talent Scholarship, USA

Students must be a U.S. citizen or a documented non-citizen, do not have to be music majors to receive a scholarship, USA

Here you will find faculty members who are interested in their students and who enjoy the exploration and discovery of knowledge.

Auditions are held in the Spring Semester. Awards are given for the following academic year and range from 3 to 9 credit hours per semester.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be accepted as an undergraduate student at NEIU (not required at time of audition). To be eligible for a Music Talent Scholarship, students must be a U.S. citizen or a documented non-citizen. Students do not have to be music majors to receive a scholarship. Students designated as “student-at-large” and/or students with a bachelors degree (or who will receive one before the end of the Fall semester) are not eligible for a Music Talent Scholarship. Students will be assigned an audition time and will be notified in advance.

Audition Information and Requirements:
Students must perform a solo piece and/or etude that best displays the student’s musical ability. Vocalists and instrumentalist are required to perform with piano accompaniment. A piano accompanist will be available at the audition.
