Single Parent Scholarship will grant $1,000 for the selected applicants that may only be used for undergraduate level studies. Your application will be based on your essay's assessment as well as other required documents submitted.

To apply this scholarship you must meet the following requirements: Low-income, single parents who are California residents and will be enrolled full or part-time at a 2- or 4-year institution in Fall 2013 are eligible to apply. This scholarship may only be used for undergraduate level studies.

- Cover Letter
- Professional Resume
- Official High School and/or College Transcript
- Financial Aid Web-Award Confirmation
- Letter of Recommendation (Minimum one letter from a teacher, supervisor, or equivalent)
The essay must be written in 1,000 words. Please explain why you should be selected as a recipient of our Single Parent Scholarship. Draw upon your academic, professional, volunteer and personal experiences to demonstrate how you have overcome the challenges of being a single parent. Describe how you are a leader in your community. In addition, state how your career goals and future aspirations will contribute to your continued growth as a leader in your community.
