Description
In 2006, Newcastle University awarded Newcastle-born singer-songwriter, Sting, an honorary doctorate. In honour of this award, the Sager Family Foundation established The Graduate Scholarship for Working Musicians.
The Scholarship is offered through competitive application, to one student accepting a full-time place on the MMus Music programme within The International Centre for Music Studies at Newcastle University and who will begin their studies in September 2013. The scholarship is offered for one year and is worth £9,600.

- The selection will be based on technical and creative flair, academic ability, energy and commitment to further study and financial circumstances.
