The TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship is now offers for students whose “volunteer efforts made a difference in their communities”. TruFit Good Citizen Scholarships will award 40 scholarship, 1 worth $5,000, 4 worth $2,500, 35 worth $1,000.

Description
Good citizens deserve help with college. That’s why we launched the TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship in 2011 to award college scholarships to students whose volunteer efforts made a difference in their communities. In 2012, we continued the college scholarship contest, awarding 40 scholarships totaling $50,000 to high school seniors and current college students across the country who are attending or have been accepted to a federally accredited four-year college, university or graduate program and who have been active in community service.

Benefits:
There will be $50,000 in scholarships in total will be granted.

Eligility
you must  be 16 years of age or older as of date of application. You must also be a high school or college student and be enrolled at or accepted to a federally accredited four year college, university or graduate program for the fall 2013 semester.

Application Procedure

To apply the TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship you are required to submit a 250-word or less essay or a 60-seconds or less video between April 1-19, 2013. Entries should demonstrate how you provide leadership in your community and include the number of hours that you commit to the organization. You’ll also need to submit the names of two references with your application.
