One World International Scholarship at The University of British Colombia, Canada

The One World International Scholarship will offer $1,000 - $10,000 for nominated students to participate in a Go Global study exchange in the Winter Session.

Description
This award was created by the Province of BC and the Irving K Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society to expand educational opportunities for students at post secondary institutions across BC.

Eligibility

• You must have been nominated to participate in a Go Global study exchange in the Winter Session.
• You must achieve at least 75% on 27 credits (with no failed or missing marks) in the Winter Session prior to your exchange (or 13.5 credits if you were participating in co-op for one of the terms.
• You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have been a resident of BC for at least the past 12 months.
• You must be participating in a Go Global exchange outside of Canada and the US and not in a country from which you immigrated in the past 10 years.
• You must meet the criteria identified on the One World International Scholarship application.

Application Procedure
Applications for International Scholarships (One World and Pacific Horizons) include the following:

• Completion of the application form;
• Completion of the cover letter form and a typewritten personal statement not exceeding 500 words;
• Unofficial transcripts of all post-secondary studies to date – in British Columbia and elsewhere (official transcripts may be requested under some circumstances);
• Two reference forms – one completed by an academic reference (speaking directly to your academic abilities) and one by a non-academic reference (speaking to your volunteer or extra-curricular activities).
