Merit-Based Academic Scholarships
Provost’s Scholarships:US$5,000–$12,500 annually- All students who meet the criteria are awarded scholarships.
- Based on standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) and class rank.
- No additional application is needed for this scholarship.
President’s and Trustee’s Scholarships: US$15,540–$25,900 annually
- 66 scholarships total awarded annually
- Minimum academic qualifications: SAT of 1300+ or ACT of 29+, and class rank in the top 10%
- Eligible students may be invited to an interview selection process.
- Admissions application materials must arrive by January 15.
Financial Need-Based Scholarships
International Aid: US$1,000–$15,000 annually
- Awards based on the International Financial Form/Affidavit of Support submitted at the time of application (available only to non-U.S. citizens).
- Submit the International Financial Form/Affidavit of Support Form and supporting documents.
Federal Financial Aid
- Loans, grants, and scholarships; amounts awarded are based on the FAFSA (available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents).
Work Study Employment
All students are eligible for on-campus work during the school year, with possible earnings up to US$2,000/year (before taxes). Summer work is also available on a limited basis, with possible earnings of up to US$4,000 (before taxes).
Note: Each international student can expect to provide approximately US$17,000 in financial support for each year they attend Messiah College. Students receiving merit-based academic scholarships may be able to reduce this amount.
