Trudeau fellowship join a growing community of researchers and creators involved in an impressive array of fields. They have access to a variety of events organized by the Foundation to disseminate the results of their work and share ideas with top experts in the country and around the world. The visiting Trudeau fellowship allows Canadian universities and research institutions to invite an outstanding international or national scholar of their choice to participate in campus activities for one year or more.

Benefits
There is $225,000 in total will be awarded per Trudeau fellowship successful applicant.

Eligibility
  1. Candidates must be nominated by a Canadian university or other entity whom the Foundation has invited to submit a nomination.
  2. Candidates must be active in the social sciences and humanities and must work in an area related to one or more of the Foundation’s four themes.
  3. Candidates must be recognized for achievements, creativity and engagement in the field of research and creation

Application Procedure
Your application form must be submitted together with the following documents:
  • A letter of nomination signed by the rector of the university that outlines the achievements that make the candidate worthy of receiving a Trudeau fellowship and states the outcomes expected for the candidate's career or projects
  • A full, up-to-date academic résumé
  • No more than three publications or articles written by the candidate (please do not send books)
  • Other publications considered relevant

Scholarship Award By Child Family Health International (CFHI), USA

Scholarship Award By Child Family Health InternationalDescription
The Child Family Health International (CFHI) is currently offering scholarships awards in the amount of US $1,000 may be awarded towards participation in any CFHI Global Health Education Program during the above months. One of these scholarships is designated for CFHI's Sight for All- Opthalmology Rotation in New Delhi, India program, one is designated for CFHI's Dentistry & Oral Health in Quito, Ecuador program, and one designated for an AMSA Member.

Recipients of the scholarship award will be required to cover their own airfare, the balance of their CFHI program fees, and any personal expenses as outlined on the program description pages. Recipients also required to keep a clinical and cultural immersion journal to be used as part of their scholarship report submitted at the end of their program. They must take photographs while abroad that may be used on the CFHI website and in CFHI publications and materials.

Eligibility

The applicants of CFHI scholarship award must committed to working globally and addressing inequities. In line with this global lens, it is the policy of CFHI to actively seek a diverse pool of candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are committed to the mission and vision of CFHI. Scholarships will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to their communities as well as financial need and an interest in exchanging ideas and sharing experiences with people in Bolivia, Ecuador, India, Mexico and South Africa.

In addition, the scholarship award committee will give priority to people of ethnicities under-represented in CFHI programs, as well as those who have had limited opportunity to travel abroad.

This Chemistry Research Fellowship provided for whom want to have an experience in chemistry jobs. Applicants are specially invited from a postdoctoral students who wish to work on Project MEET which has been selected in the context of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England European cross-border co-operation programme, which is co-financed by the ERDF. The topic of this strand of the project is ‘New organic materials for organic electronics and optoelectronics’. Organic materials are key components in several evolving technologies such as as Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFETs) and Organic Photovoltaic materials (OPVs). There is huge potential to enhance the effectiveness of these materials by manipulation of the structures of the organic component at the molecular level. This project is aimed at the synthesis and characterisation of a variety of polycyclic aromatic and heteroaromatic molecules predicted theoretically to have desirable properties. The project is based in Chemistry, Southampton but builds on an establish collaboration with Prof. Bernhard Witulski (ENISCAEN, Caen, France) and will involved some time in his laboratory.

Eligibility
In order to be considered in this chemistry jobs applicants must:
  1. A good degree or equivalent in Organic Chemistry.
  2. PhD (complete or submitted before post start date) or equivalent in organic Chemistry.
  3. Detailed understanding and knowledge of organic chemistry.
  4. Evidence of peer reviewed journal output from previous positions. Experience of synthetic organic chemistry.
  5. Knowledge of materials for organic electronics and/or of polyaromatic or heteroaromatci synthesis.

UK Fellowship - John Smith Fellowship, UK

UK FellowshipDescription
UK Fellowship of The John Smith Memorial Trust is now accepting applications for its 2013 Fellowship Programme. This UK fellowship basically purposed to strengthen and deepen awareness of good governance through a three week programme in the UK and placements that show the workings of organisations within a long established democracy.

Eligibility
Please note that this UK fellowship only open to student from the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. In addition the selection will be based on a combination of the leadership potential of the applicant and the quality of the action plan they propose. Action plans are pieces of work or policy problems which the Fellows want to explore while in the UK. The "ideal" candidate will be aged 25-40, working in politics, local administration, business, the media, the arts or civil society.

Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarships Description
The Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarships are currently offering  scholarships to two graduating high school seniors who have documented learning disabilities. The recipients of The Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarships will be granted $2,500/year over four years for The Anne Ford Scholarship and $2,500 one-time scholarship for The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship.

Eligibility

The applicants of the must meet the following requirements:
  1. Anne Ford Scholarship: graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall of 2013.
  2. Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship: graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with LD in the fall of 2013.

2013 The Vanguard Women in Information Technology Scholarship, USA

Description
The Vanguard Women in Information Technology Scholarship Program specially offers merit-based scholarships of up to $10,000 to female students entering their junior or senior year of college during the 2013 school year. The Vanguard Women in Information Technology Scholarship is basically purposed to remove financial barriers for female students who demonstrate academic excellence and are pursuing studies in computer science, computer engineering, web design or other IT-related disciplines. Kent University Scholarships formally known as the Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The Kent University Scholarships are created because we know that you will have worked exceptionally hard to achieve the qualifications needed to secure your place at Kent, and the Kent University Scholarships established in recognition of this effort.

Benefits: The recipients of the Kent university scholarships will be offered of   £2,000 per annum in total.

Eligibility
In order to be considered in the Kent university scholarships applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The scholarship will be awarded to any applicant who meets the following criteria: Is entering the first year of undergraduate degree study at the University of Kent’s Canterbury or Medway campus from September 2013
  • Achieves AAA over three A levels, (irrespective of whether these A levels were excluded from the entry offer), or the equivalent specified qualifications below Has satisfied their conditions of entry to the University of Kent.
  • This scholarship is open to all UK, EU and Overseas full-time undergraduate students. You can hold a University bursary and a scholarship at the same time.
