
Trudeau fellowship join a growing community of researchers and creators involved in an impressive array of fields. They have access to a variety of events organized by the Foundation to disseminate the results of their work and share ideas with top experts in the country and around the world. The visiting Trudeau fellowship allows Canadian universities and research institutions to invite an outstanding international or national scholar of their choice to participate in campus activities for one year or more.
Benefits
There is $225,000 in total will be awarded per Trudeau fellowship successful applicant.
Eligibility
- Candidates must be nominated by a Canadian university or other entity whom the Foundation has invited to submit a nomination.
- Candidates must be active in the social sciences and humanities and must work in an area related to one or more of the Foundation’s four themes.
- Candidates must be recognized for achievements, creativity and engagement in the field of research and creation
Application Procedure
Your application form must be submitted together with the following documents:
- A letter of nomination signed by the rector of the university that outlines the achievements that make the candidate worthy of receiving a Trudeau fellowship and states the outcomes expected for the candidate's career or projects
- A full, up-to-date academic résumé
- No more than three publications or articles written by the candidate (please do not send books)
- Other publications considered relevant
