
Lilly Scholarship is specially available to all those who are diagnosed with bipolar, schizophrenia, schizophreniform or schizoaffective disorder, currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow-up, are actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment, and are 18 years of age or older. Awards are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility
In order to be considered on the Lilly Scholarship applicants should be diagnosed with bipolar, schizophrenia, schizophreniform or schizoaffective disorder, currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow-up, are actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment, and are 18 years of age or older. Awards are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Application Procedure
The Lilly Scholarship required documents beside grant scholarship application as follow: essay, transcripts (if applicable), recommendation forms from three references and school financial requirements. Applicants will be judged based off of:
References from three individuals, including the applicant’s psychiatrist or prescribing authority (references from family members are ineligible), Quality of essay, Thoughtfulness and appropriateness of academic and vocational/career goals, Rehabilitation involvement, Success in dealing with the disease, Recent volunteer and/or vocational experience, Completion of application requirements including signing the Personal Consent & Release Form
