There are $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) will be awarded to the successful applicants of this scholarship.Description
Every year this science scholarship is offered to students who have excelled academically and wish to major in biochemistry and molecular biology, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, mathematics, neuroscience or physics.Students who receive this scholarship are also guaranteed a hands-on research experience working side by side with a Drew faculty member or a retired scientist. The applicants may participate in three programmes as follow:
- Howard Hughes Medical Institute Summer Research Associate Program
- Drew Summer Science Institute
- Research Institute for Scientists Emeriti (RISE)
Eligibility
First-year students who intend to major in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, math, neuroscience or physics
Application Procedure
Students must have a completed application for admission on file and submit:
- RISE Scholarship Application Form
- RISE Science or math teacher recommendation form
