Description
The Biomechanics scholarship is a full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science or engineering to undertake research studies leading to an MPhil in biomechanics, and preferably, to continue pursuing a PhD in the future. The project is to investigate the soft tissue responses to implanted surgical treatment using finite element analysis.

Benefits: The scholarship is valued at $24,653 per annum (tax exempt) for up to one year and to 31 December 2013 in the first instance and may be renewed, subject to need and satisfactory progress.

Eligibility
Applicants should have a strong finite element modelling skill with fundamental knowledge in biomechanics. A particular interest and proven experience in the medical image based 3D anatomical modelling would be an advantage. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.
