The University of Southern Queensland moe offers PhD Scholarships in Digital Futures (CRN) program for both Australian and international students. The successful applicant will be granted $30 000 per annum.
Description
This is a rare opportunity for students looking to progress their career by engaging in research in digital futures, one of the most quickly developing areas of social interaction and impact in society today. The successful applicant will contribute to the enhancement of world class research programs at USQ in collaboration with experienced, high quality researchers at ANU and UniSA.
The successful candidate will be required to enrol full time on campus at USQ and commence in semester 2 2013. It is expected that successful project will advance research collaboration between USQ, Australian National University (ANU) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) and as a result may involve joint supervision between the partner institutions. The recipient of the award will work across collaborative projects and may spend some time at the partner institutions.
Benefits:
The Collaborative Research Network (CRN) PhD scholarship carries a stipend of $30 000 per annum to the successful applicant. Payments are made on a fortnightly basis over the year. The period of the tenure for the award is three years. Periods of study already undertaken towards the degree will be deducted from the period of tenure.

- have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or a Masters degree (with a research component) or other qualifications equivalent to First Class Honours
- be eligible to be enrolled full-time in a Higher Degree by Research Doctor of Philosophy program at the University of Southern Queensland
- commence the degree by Semester 2, 2013
- undertake research in one of the above topics.
