The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation is currently offering a variety of scholarships to students ”who want an education and a career in the foodservice industry. The winners of this scholarship will be granted fund starting at $2,500 scholarships.”
Your application will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Quality and presentation of essay (quality of writing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, word count, etc)
- Industry-related work experience
- Strength of the letters of recommendation
- Foodservice certificates, including ProStart and ManageFirst certificates
Eligibility
- You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- You must plan to use the scholarship in a foodservice-related program at an accredited college or university
- You must be enrolled or plan to enroll as a full-time or substantial part-time student taking a minimum of 9 credit hours each term
- You must plan to be enrolled for at least the two upcoming consecutive semesters
- You may receive only one NRAEF scholarship per calendar year. NRAEF scholarships are paid over two consecutive terms, and overlapping scholarships are not permitted.
