The Susan Thompson Buffet Foundation offers up to $4,250 for graduated from a high school in Nebraska who will attend college in 2013.The selection of this scholarship award is based on financial need, academic merit, letters of recommendation, and your personal essay.
Description
The target of scholarship is students who have demonstrated financial need. To determine this, students must have filled out their FAFSA form for Federal Aid. Finally, there is an academic component to this scholarship–applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale or an 80 average on a 100 point scale.

The amount of the scholarship award varies, but will go up to $4,250 per semester.
Eligibility
The applicants must be residents of Nebraska who intend on attending a public state school. Students who are planning on attending four year schools (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Wayne State, etc.) or two year schools (Southeast Community College, Metropolitan Community College, etc.) are eligible to apply. This scholarship is only open to incoming freshman students.
