African American Scholarship of MassMutual Scholars Program, USA

In 2013, MassMutual looks forward to offering $150,000 in total funding; assisting at least 30 full-time multicultural students entering their sophomore, junior, senior, or fifth year of undergraduate coursework with a scholarship worth up to $5,000.

Description
The MassMutual Scholars Program is now open for high achieving college students of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic descent interested in pursuing careers in the insurance and financial services industry.  The successful applicants of this African American Scholarship will be granted up to $5,000.
African American Scholarship
Eligibility
  • Be of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic descent
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Will be entering sophomore, junior, senior or 5th-year senior year in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at an accredited two- or four-year college or university
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Plan to attend a degree-seeking program, full-time at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam
  • Interested in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry
  • Demonstrate leadership and participation in extra-curricular activities
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov
