
Description
The Ouimet scholarship is unique in that it is renewable for up to four years. Ouimet awards range from $1,500 to $15,000 per year, depending on financial need and ranking in our competitive evaluation process. The value of the award over four years can be $10,000 to $40,000, or more. Over 5,000 young people have received Ouimet scholarships, and many have gone on to prestigious positions of leadership in business and professional careers.
Eligibility
- All Ouimet Scholarship candidates must have performed at least two years service to golf as caddies, or in golf professional or course superintendent operations at any golf course in Massachusetts.
- The candidate must also plan to attend an accredited institution of undergraduate higher education full-time.
- Students may apply as seniors in high school or during their college career.
Application Procedure
The interested candidates should fill the online application form at: http://www.ouimet.org/scholarships/application-process/, or contact the Director of Scholarship at the Ouimet office at 774.430.9095.
Submission Deadline
- December 1 The postmark deadline for a completed application and club recommendations.
- March 1 High school seniors must send a transcript with SAT scores and final grades for terms 1 & 2. College students must send an official Fall transcript.
- March 1 – June 30 Applicant is required to attend a scheduled interview. Applicant will be notified of his/her interview date, time, and location provided their application is complete and up to date.The College Scholarship Service (CSS) will forward your CSS/PROFILE directly to us once you complete their registration form. Our CSS Code is 0467.Completing the FAFSA form generates the Student Aid Report (SAR) which will be sent directly to you. Send the complete report to us, making a copy for your files.
