Global Research Alliance Borlaug Fellowships, A Reseach Fellowship in Climate Change, USAThe 3 months research on climate change mitigation is sponsored by The United States Department of  Agriculture. The applicants are expected from Colombia, Ghana, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines and Vietnam.
Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for 2013 Global Research Alliance Borlaug Fellowships under the auspices of the Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship Program. Fellows will be selected from eight developing countries that are members of the Global Research Alliance (GRA) on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases. Fellows will work with a mentor at USDA’s Agricultural Research Service or a U.S. university for up to 3 months on climate change mitigation research. The mentor will later travel to the fellow’s home country for up to 10 days to continue collaboration.

Eligibility
  • Be citizens of an eligible country
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have completed a Master’s or higher degree
  • Be in the early or middle stage of their career, with at least two years of practical experience
  • Be employed by a university, government agency or research entity in their home country
  • Demonstrate their intention to continue working in their home country after completing the fellowship.
